EXPOSITION: MAN AND MONEY

WORK ON A (SMALL) EXPOSITION ON THE THEME “WHAT MONEY DOES TO MAN”

Language: English,  Dutch:

NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS: 3-8

GENERAL IDEA: To exist men need money. So in daily life men are chasing money to build up a meaningful existence.  But what often happens is that by chasing money they become dependent on the object they are chasing: Mr. Money.  There is truth in the observation that man’s personal profile is determined by the money he spent. To what extent man’s worth is created by the value of his money?

Try to show  with words, pictures, advertisements, slogans, movies, wall paper, how even rich people are suffering from the capital they own .  Also interactive media tools like puzzle, quiz, questions can be applied.

The exposition will be in NHL or Stenden University, and maybe in other public places.

Tasks:

· personal and group reflection on the theme

· make an exposition plan: content, design, etc. create the exposition

· realize the exposition possibly with help of other students or experts

In former times mass publicity was in the hands of rulers, press and some elite groups. Nowadays a message can be spread in a few seconds with good messages, but also with offenses, lies and call to action by using social media. A simple message can have non-intended consequences. Groups with criminal and terrorist plans use it. So secret services of big political powers create access to private information (telephone calls, e-mail) to track down suspect people.

People may be different but still equal. The idea of unalienable human dignity and the idea of equality have been accepted by almost all countries.
